ABOUT US

Our Church Planters (The Kang Family)
Sam and Kristen planted Reconcile Church (Duluth, GA) in 2018 and have spent the past decade committed to church planting in Gwinnett County. High school sweethearts, they’ve been married since 2004. Sam encountered Jesus through InterVarsity in college and has since devoted his life to gospel reconciliation and cross-cultural ministry. He’s served in church leadership since 2003 and trained in church planting through several churches across the Southeast.
Rooted in his Korean-American identity, Sam is passionate about helping others embrace their God-given identity. Kristen is a joyful extrovert with a heart for hospitality and discipleship. Together, they love good food, travel, and building authentic community. They live in Duluth and count it a joy to be planting a church once again.

This is true whether we’ve run away from home, come from a broken home, or have had a negative experience of home.
We were all created for home, home with God. It’s more than a place; it’s where God abides. Jesus invites us to come home, stay with Him, and grow into the people we were made to be. Out of perfect union with the Father and the Spirit, Jesus stepped out of heaven to walk with us so we could return home to God and live the abiding life we were designed for. Only Jesus can bring the runaways home. Only He can keep our hearts anchored and empower us to walk with Him daily. Jesus is everything. He is the center of an abiding life.

Jesus is Our Home.
Our mission is to invite and equip everyone to find their home in Jesus, grow in relationship with Him, and share His love with our neighbors, for the good of Norcross and the surrounding communities. It’s why we exist.

This is an abiding life.

Our Community.
As a church relaunch in Norcross, GA., our vision is to see a diverse family abiding in Jesus together.
Norcross is in the heart of Gwinnett County, one of the most diverse areas in the U.S. Every face, language, and story reflects a glimpse of God’s Kingdom in Revelation 7:9.
We believe God is forming a diverse family to abide in Jesus together right here in Gwinnett. That’s why we’re planting a church in Norcross, where people from every background can find their home in Him. We envision disciples growing in intimacy with God, leaders choosing peace over pressure, and everyday lives transformed by Jesus.
This is the fruit of abiding in Him (John 15), and we’d love for you to be part of it.
